Following the success of our previous animation for Team Fostering, they approached us again with a new challenge. They had a comprehensive recruitment brochure containing everything prospective foster carers needed to know, but much of that information was only being seen after someone had already made an enquiry.
The objective wasn’t simply to turn the brochure into a video. It was to create a more accessible first step in the recruitment journey that would answer common questions, reduce uncertainty and encourage more people to make that initial enquiry.
We developed a three-minute animated explainer that guides prospective foster carers through the process, from eligibility and assessment through to the ongoing support available from Team Fostering. The animation was designed as a modular content asset, allowing individual sections to be repurposed into shorter edits for social media, YouTube and future recruitment campaigns. This approach ensured the project delivered far more than a single video, creating a library of content that can support recruitment activity across multiple channels for years to come.
Rather than treating animation as a creative deliverable, we focused on building a structured recruitment tool that simplifies complex information, builds trust and supports prospective foster carers at the earliest stage of their decision-making journey.
This wasn’t a standalone project. It built on an earlier animation we created for Team Fostering, extending their video content to support another key audience. Together, the projects demonstrate how a planned content strategy can create a connected library of assets, with each piece serving a distinct purpose while reinforcing a consistent visual identity and message across the organisation.
