For the 2025 SLS Legal Awards, our approach evolved from traditional event filming into a more structured content strategy designed to extend the commercial value of the event well beyond the day itself.
Rather than producing a single highlights video, we treated the event as a content capture opportunity — planning in advance how multiple assets could be created and used across SLS’s wider marketing and communications activity.
This included identifying key moments, speakers and interview opportunities ahead of time, allowing us to capture content with clear downstream use in mind — from social media and website updates to ongoing authority-building content.
We also refined how content was delivered. Instead of a single output, SLS received a suite of assets tailored for different platforms, including shorter-form edits optimised for LinkedIn and quick-turnaround clips to maintain momentum immediately after the event.
This shift meant the project moved from being a documentation exercise to a structured content system, helping SLS maximise return from an event they were already investing in.
Importantly, this approach improved efficiency. By planning outputs in advance, we were able to capture significantly more usable content without increasing production time — increasing value without increasing complexity.
The result was a more commercially effective outcome:
content that supported visibility, reinforced authority within the legal sector, and continued delivering value long after the event had finished.
