West Sussex Council – Tom’s Story Safeguarding Video

We filmed a powerful interview with Tom, a survivor of abuse, for West Sussex County Council. The video now forms part of internal safeguarding training, helping professionals reflect on their vital role in protecting vulnerable people.

"We worked with Square Daisy on a small project, interviewing and recording a resident of West Sussex involved in our Safeguarding Adults Board Review. It was a pleasure to work with both Jovan and Julie - both were highly professional with excellent communication and support throughout. Would highly recommend!" - Charlie Gibbs - Safeguarding Lead - West Sussex County Council

BTS of the interview setup West Sussex County Council commissioned us to film a powerful interview with Tom, a disabled man who survived severe abuse. The video was created as an internal training tool to help safeguarding professionals understand the real-world impact of their work.

Filmed in Tom’s home, the interview was conducted by a council team member and handled with the utmost care and sensitivity. The resulting video is a deeply moving and valuable piece of training content that encourages reflection and best practice across the council’s safeguarding teams.
