We specialise in product videos for digital products. It can be hard for potential customers to buy into something that isn’t physical without being reassured of what they can expect, but digital products are often vast and complex. Additionally, the content is the product so businesses are mindful not to give away too much of their app or platform in marketing collateral. My New Venture were no different, but as a tech start-up they wanted to reassure anyone interested in signing up that the platform is worth their hard-earned cash.
For this animation, we re-created the key areas of the platform tracing directly from screenshots so that the animation is a true representation of the software. As this video wanted to centre around features, we opted to blank out the excess text on the screen so that the viewer can focus on the messages being delivered. To distance the animation further from a screencast, we positioned the 2D web browser in a 3D space, and moved around the screen with a camera to create depth and dimension.
